Some scenery you only truly believe once you're floating in the middle of it. Your day opens with a relaxed morning pickup from your hotel in Alanya or Avsallar, where an air-conditioned coach whisks you inland toward the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, past pine forest and citrus groves. The road climbs until the deep blue wall of the Oymapinar Dam appears, the gateway to Green Canyon. At the jetty you board a roomy cruise boat and glide out onto water so still it mirrors the sky, glowing an unreal shade of emerald against cliffs that soar hundreds of metres on either side. We drift slowly between the forested walls, dropping anchor at sheltered coves where you can dive straight into the crisp, glass-clear mountain water or simply float beneath the pines. Along the route you'll pass the famous trout-farm springs and the icy headwaters that feed the Manavgat River, with endless moments to fill your camera. Midday brings a generous open-buffet lunch served right on board as the boat eases through the gorge, followed by free time to sunbathe, take a last swim, or just soak in the breeze. As the afternoon light softens the canyon walls, we cruise back to the jetty and drive you home, sun-warmed and grinning.
