Some corners of Turkey feel almost untouched, and Green Canyon is one of them. The day starts with an easy, air-conditioned pickup from your hotel, whisking you up into the hills to the shimmering green reservoir where our roomy modern catamaran waits. We cast off at 10:00 AM sharp. There's a simple rule on board: no music. Instead, you drift into the towering Grand Canyon accompanied only by birdsong, lapping water and the hush of the cliffs, with lush green slopes rising on every side. Mid-morning we tie up at our own wooden lake platform for the first swim of the day. The mountain water is cool, clear and wonderfully refreshing. Afterwards a freshly cooked lunch is served with the canyon walls as your backdrop, and if you fancy it, you're welcome to borrow our fishing gear and cast a lazy line. With lunch behind us, the catamaran glides on toward the quieter Small Canyon, all intimate coves and postcard scenery, before we drop anchor for a second swim. After roughly four and a half hours on the water we cruise back to harbour, where your transfer is waiting to bring you home relaxed and sun-warmed.
